It's the time again for you to nominate and vote for the new committee of QUT MySA session 2010/2011!
The QUT MySA Annual General Meeting will be held as follows:

Date: 15 October 2010 (Friday)
Time: 2pm onwards (after the Friday prayers)
Venue: Common Room Campus Living Villages (CLV),

The meeting will be followed by celebratory light snacks and drinks.

GRADUAN-MASCA Australia Recruitment Drive 2010

Malaysian students interested in internship or graduate opportunities back home.

Since 2005, GRADUAN in collaboration with MASCA bring students Malaysian based blue-chip companies looking to recruit Malaysian students and graduates from Australia.

For the second year, scheduled interviews will be offered on the UQ St Lucia Campus in Brisbane as part of the drive.

Interviews will be held on campus on Thursday, 14 October from 10.00am-5.00pm.

The following companies have indicated interest in participation in this GRADUAN Australia Recruitment Drive. Their participation will depend on how interested YOU are and how many resumes they receive:

Minister of International Trade and Industry's visit to Brisbane

We are also looking for anyone who is keen on being a driver as we have the possibility of hiring transport to and from the event... please leave a comment here if you are interested.

It is advised that you arrive earlier than 8pm in order to wait for the arrival of the minister himself. Attendance slots are limited to 25 people from QUT only... please make sure you do attend if you have signed up.

The Innes Room is on 4th floor,UQ Union Complex (building no. 21). This building is in between the Schonell Theatre and The Red Room. The Schonell Theatre is located at the top end of Union Road at the University of Qld, St.Lucia. Sign board for Innes Room will be at the entrance of UQ Union building (near the Pizza Caffe) and inside the lifts.

All suitable applications received prior to the team’s departure from Malaysia will receive a scheduled time for a reserved interview slot on the 30^th September directly from Khazanah.
Applicants who are not able to submit before their departure date may still bring along all their application documents required on the day (30^th September 2010) for walk-in interviews. You will be scheduled for interviews on a first come-first served basis and may be expected to wait until a slot becomes available. The Khazanah recruiting team will be on campus from 9am - 5pm on Thursday, 30^th September. There will also be an exhibition area in the postgraduate student lounge Level 1, Colin Clark Building. This will be the same area in which you are to present yourselves for a scheduled interview or to register for walk in interviews. Refreshments will be available throughout the day for your consumption.

Please note that these interviews are open to all Malaysians based in Brisbane from the various tertiary institutions.

Graduating Students Workshop and Migration Advice Session

International Students completing their studies at the end of Semester Two (2), 2010 are invited to attend the Graduating Students workshop on Wednesday 29^th September 2010.

The workshop is conducted to assist students prepare for life after graduation.

The Graduating Students workshop covers a range of topics including adjusting to life back home, graduation and ceremonies, job seeking, resume writing, interview skills, keeping in touch with past students (Alumni), visa concerns, and a checklist of things to do before leaving Australia. There will also be a Celebration Lunch for workshop participants.

In addition to the workshop, international students are welcome to attend a Migration Advice session on PR migration to Australia.
